November? How did that happen?
I didn't post in October at all! And just barely in September.
I have so much to catch you all up on.
Like my visit from our dear friend Kristi, then our visit from Jon and Ashley, and finally the visit from my family!
And I've started substitute teaching.
But what I'm most excited about right now is our new apartment! We got the keys yesterday. Our landlord lives in Mass. and we haven't met him yet. We did talk to him on the phone and he appears to be pretty relaxed, which is nice.
We get to paint the rooms! I love painting. So much.
So, pictures!
| The great french doors in our living room, that lead to our dining room. |
| Corner of the living room. Check out that hardwood floor! |
| Another corner of the living room. Bricked up fireplace, but we still get a mantle! |
| Part of the dining room! I'm such a sucker for a built-in. |
| Kitchen. The brick is killing me. I have plans for it. I can't paint it, but I have plans. Also, how cute is my husband? |
| More kitchen |
| More Kitchen |
| Okay, so apparently we are required to have a Fire extinguisher. That's fine. |
| But check out the date on this baby! Stamped on August, 1976! Dear Mothers: There is a newer one in the basement, and laundry room. |
| Hallway, looking from our bedroom to entry way. Left door: Kitchen, Right Door: Screened patio/Dryer spot Next Right door: Guest bedroom, Next Left door Dining room, Next right door Bathroom, Then left is Living room, and you are in the entry way! |
| Screened in porch/spot for Dryer/and entry to 2nd and 3rd floor. |
| The Blue Bathroom. Also, I found out that shower rod (which is all rusty and gross) was super-glued to the wall. Oops, hello spackle! |
| I already started painting. Here is a side-by-side. We went with a light grey. It appears blueish, one because it's late at night and the lighting is poor, and two because it needs a second coat, the original blue is peaking thru in spots. |
| This is in our bedroom. I was getting the walls washed, nail holes filled, and taping off, when I saw this. The last person to paint, painted over pieces of tape. |
| This is me showing you one of the painted pieces of tape. Oh joy. Also, you can see the TERRIBLE paint job. One coat, white showing thru, runny, awful. I can't wait to paint it! |
