Megan and I were both born and grew up in Minnesota (with my slight hiatus in Wisconsin). We love Minnesota and hope to someday return, but for now we want to explore some more of our country.
So, 1400 miles from home we will set out to make our new home near Manchester, NH (which is the largest city in NH). New Hampshire has been a state since 1788, when it became the 9th state to join the union. It's 9,300 sq. miles (46th state in area) are home to 1.3 million people (42nd in population). The Granite State is also home to the White Mountains, which many are named for U.S. Presidents. They are a big reason we are excited to move to the area. Average temperatures for the for NH are similar to Minnesota without the extremes. For example summer days are in the 70-80 degree range and winters hover just below freezing, compared to Minnesota with days that are often in the 90's and below zero. The state is surrounded by Quebec, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont, with a slight look at the Atlantic ocean in the southeast corner. Being a part of New England we may have to be Patriots fans, but I don't see myself becoming a Boston Red Sox fan instead of a Twins fan.
This is just a few things about the state we will soon reside in, we are excited to "Live Free or Die" (State Motto).
